The Animal Wellness Center has the world’s greatest staff. They are trained in customer service, animal care and have deep compassion for our clients and their pets. We all believe in those extra special touches that can make a difference in the lives we touch on a daily basis.

Dr. Sarah Apodaca

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Apodaca is a native Santa Fean and is delighted to serve the local community with high quality pet care. She has extended family throughout the state and loves the varied aspects of the culture of our beautiful state. Her teenage sons, husband and parents are also a big joy in her life.

A graduate from Michigan State University, Dr. Apodaca has worked in veterinary medicine for over 20 years. Dr. Apodaca is passionate about annual dental care, complete preventative wellness and senior pet care. The primary goal of Dr. Apodaca is to continue to grow professionally and still be able to contribute years of practical practice experience to keep pets healthy.

When not walking in the beautiful hills of New Mexico, Dr. Apodaca enjoys her three-legged dog, Molly and cats: Prince Pumpkin and Sweet Daisy.
